How Long does the Filter last?
There are two sets of cartridges. One has the Scale Centurion softener media. The second has the whole of house filter media
1) The Scale Centurion softener media will last you for at least 2 years - most likely three or more. (It might be longer depending on your local water conditions. You'll know when it's time to change because you'll see scale slowly building up in your kettle etc).
2) The whole of house filter media will last 12 months.

whole house filter water. The point of use filter just takes water

When
buying filters, you want the smallest Micron Rating available with the
highest possible flow rate, and a quality filyter that does not get
clogged up too soon. The should last at least a year.
Water filters — called “cartridges” by manufacturers — have 3 basic differences from one to another:
- Size.
Obviously, you need the right size to fit your housing. The standard
size used in most housings is called 10″ by 2-1/2″ diameter. Note that
although it’s called 10″ long, the filters are actually about 9-3/4.”
- Type. Six types of filters are commonly found: pleated paper, string wound, polyspun, carbon wrapped/impregnated, granular carbon and carbon block. More on these below — the various types do look different, which can help if they are labeled in a language that you’re not totally fluent in.
Filters all have a micron rating on the label. The smaller the number, the finer the filtration. I’ve seen them as large as 40 microns, but 20, 10 and 5 are far more common. The smallest I’ve seen is 0.5 microns. Finer filtration can slow down water flow,

membrane.
Ceramic filters have a history as a means of filtering water dating back
to the early 1800's when reliable drinking water sources were not
available in most countries; that history and development from the early
filters has allowed progression to today's ceramics. Our advances in
the ceramic filtration manufacturing process result in a more effective
and efficient means of treating a wide range of waterborne
contaminants. Our modern manufacturing practices give our ceramic
elements a more controlled and consistent pore structure; the inclusion
of silver gives the filter bacteriostatic properties which prevents

however remain for many reasons.
